Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical (KEAM) is a state level UG entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination Kerala for the admission to the various UG courses offered by the institutions located in the limits of Kerala state. The examination is also known as the CEE Kerala.

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examinations for admission to the following Degree Courses in various Professional Colleges in the State for the year 2015-16.

(a) Medical (i) MBBS (ii) BDS (iii) BHMS (iv) BAMS (v) BSMS.

(b) Agriculture (i) BSc. (Hons.) Agriculture (ii) BSc. (Hons.) Forestry.

(c) Veterinary BVSc. & AH.

(d) Fisheries BFSc.

(e) Engineering B.Tech. [including B.Tech. (Agri. Engg.), B.Tech. (Food Engg.) Courses under the Kerala Agricultural University and B.Tech. (Dairy Science & Tech.) under the Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University.

(f) Architecture B.Arch. (No Entrance Examination. Admission is based on merit as assessed by equal weightage to NATA Score and marks/grades in the Qualifying Examination).

The CEE Kerala government has announced the KEAM 2015 entrance examination notification on dated 25.09.2014 regarding examination date. The KEAM 2015 entrance examination will be held on 20th April 2015 across the various centres of the state and above said major cities.

KEAM 2015 Application Form

KEAM 2015 application form will be available in the month of January 2015 on the official website of the CEE Kerala. The students may get the application form from the official site before the last date of availability. The form will be available on site for maximum two weeks. The candidates may request for the application form via post by sending a DD of the respective amount to the board.

Eligibility

For appearing the KEAM 2015 examination the candidates must have cleared the 10+2 examination with PCM (for engineering courses) or PCB (for all courses except engineering courses) with 50% in core subject (Biology/Mathematics) and 50% in total aggregate. Those candidates having engineering diploma with minimum 50% marks are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have the age of 17 years or above as on or before 31st December 2014.


Application Process

The candidates would have to register themselves on the portal and download the application form. Fill all required details in application form including the DD details and take the print out of filled form. Then send the filled application form including the DD and supportive documents (academic, residential and category certificates) within the time to the address given below:

Application Fees

The application fees for the KEAM 2015 entrance examination is Rs. 800/- for the general and OBCs category and Rs. 400/- for the SC/ST candidates. The application fee can be submitted via DD or cash payment to the selected post offices.Security Card, Prospectus and an envelope can be obtained from selected Post Offices in Kerala and outside the State, on payment of the prescribed fee (Rs.1000/-for General & Rs.500/- for SC/ST as the case may be), by cash. List of Post Offices that issue Security cards and Prospectus is appended to this notification. Security card will not be available at the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The Security card consists of a KEY NUMBER, which is inside the Security panel and not visible before scratching the silver panel. There is a Serial Number on each Security card. The Key number and Serial Number are unique and are required for filling up of payment details in the online application.

Examination Pattern & Schedule

The examination will be consisted of two papers for the engineering and medical each. Each paper will comprise in 120 multiple type questions of 480 marks. Each correct will carry the four marks. There is no negative marking. The duration of paper is 2 ½ hours. The examination will be held on time at 10:00 am – 12:30 pm as per the following schedule:


Syllabus

The KEAM 2015 entrance examination syllabus has been extracted from the 10th and the 12th academic syllabus of central and state board of India. The students are suggested to get the preparation from the 12th syllabus, previous papers and the guides available in the market.

Selection Process

The selection will be made on the basis of merit rank calculated by the marks obtained in the KEAM 2015 examination and the marks obtained in the 12th examination in the ratio of 50:50.

Admit Card

The Admit Cards of Entrance Examinations can be downloaded from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 23.03.2015. The printout of the admit card thus obtained will have to be produced at the time of examination. Admit Cards will not be sent by post from this office to the candidate


CBSE recently announced the time table for 12th and 10th board exams.

The Central Board of Secondary Education released the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam timetable on Wednesday.Class 10 students will start their boards on March 2 and write their last exam on March 26. For Class 12 students, the exams will begin on March 2 and end on April 17.

It is the first tire of JEE. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts JEE exam every year. Almost 13 lakh aspirants write JEE which makes it one of the biggest engineering exam being conducted in India. Some of the most prestigious colleges like CFTIs, SFTIs, IITs and NITs refer to JEE result for in take of candidates. JEE is classified into two part. Part-1 is JEE Main and part-2 is called as JEE Advanced. This article summarizes information about JEE Main 2015.




Top 1.5 lakh candidates who qualify JEE Main, are eligible to write JEE Advanced. JEE Main was earlier called as AIEEE but 2012 CBSE merged it with JEE-IIT. Through JEE Main candidates are allotted admission in undergraduate courses related to engineering, B.E/B.Tech. etc.



To Know About JEE Main 2015

In 2014, Maharashtra and Odisha have dropped MT CET and OJEE and adopted JEE Main for in take of candidates. All the admissions in engineering undergrad courses in these states were being held by JEE Main 2015 All India Rank. But Odisha conducted Special OJEE 2014 exam to fill the vacancies in colleges.
Process of JEE Main 2015 Application Form online i.e. Exam will be conducted in online mode. Offline form and prospectus has been dropped. Candidates have to fill the application form online on the official website of JEE. No documents or certificates are to be sent to JEE office.

Selection Criteria in JEE Main 2015

Candidates will be selected on the basis of All India Rank (AIR), which will be calculated with JEE Main 2015 Score and Class XII marks in 60:40 ratio (normalization method). This similar method would be adopted, by nearly, all the colleges and universities.

JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling JEE Main 2015 Application Form, candidates must go through all the terms mentioned in the eligibility criteria to see if they are fit to apply or not. Eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced differs from JEE Main 2015. The conditions and terms in the JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
  • Candidate must have passed Class XII qualifying examination (or its equivalent) in 2012 or 2013.
  • If the result of qualifying exam is to be announced after June 2015, it is rather not advised to apply.
  • If a candidate has already attempted three times, he/she is ineligible for JEE Main 2015.
  • Candidate must be born on or after 1 October 1989 (1984 for SC, ST or PwD).
  • If a candidate has passed Class XII with four subjects in 2012 or 2013, he/she may apply as well however a candidate passing in 2015 must have five subjects in Class XII.
All the eligibility norms will be equally applied to candidates from Odisha and Maharashtra as well.

JEE Main 2015 Exam Pattern

Candidates must read the JEE Main 2015 Exam Pattern thoroughly to get familiarized with the actual exam and its architecture. It will consequently help them to devise a strategy to solve the questions correctly in the given time constraint.
  • Exam would be conducted in online as well as offline mode.
  • JEE Main 2015 Exam would be based on the Class XI and XII syllabus of Math, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Duration of the exam would be three hours net.
  • For every correct answer, 1 mark will be rewarded and for every wrong answer, ¼ marks will be cut.
  • Number of questions: 90 (30x3)
  • Total marks: 90
  • Questions will be multiple choice in nature where candidate will select one correct option from the given set.
JEE Main 2015 Reservation of Seats

Candidates will be assigned All India Rank (AIR) as per their respective categorical reservation policy. The following categories will be considered in JEE Main 2015:
  • NCL-OBC (Non Creamy Layer - Other Backward Class) : 27%
  • Scheduled Castes (SC) : 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) : 7.5%
  • Persons with Disability (PwD) : 3%
To avail the reservation claims, candidates have to report at the time of counselling along with all the documents and certificates in originals. They must be duly attested by competent authorities. In case of absence of proper documents and certificates, claims for reservation would stand invalid and candidates would be considered in general category.

JEE Main 2015 Application Form

Candidates have to fill JEE Main 2015 application form online. To apply, candidates can access the official website. It must be noted that the online application form process requires uploading of scanned images of photo, thumb impression and signature. No document must be sent to the JEE Main 2015 Office. Candidates are advised to follow the steps below to fill the JEE Main 2015 Application Form:
